Procedure
A mixture of ethyl 3-(2-propyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-1-yl)propanoate (4.24 g, 16.5 mmol, prepared in Parts A and B of Example 16), THF (15 mL), and methylamine (available as a 40% solution in water, 8 mL) was scaled in a high-pressure vessel, heated at 80° C. overnight, and concentrated under reduced pressure to provide 4.7 g of N-methyl-3-(2-propyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]quinolin-1-yl)propanamide.
