Procedure
To a solution of N-{3-[(2-amino[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5-yl)(methyl)amino]phenyl}-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide (174 mg, 0.474 mmol) in pyridine (1.7 mL) was added cyclopropanecarbonyl chloride (55 μL, 0.610 mmol) at −20° C., and the mixture was stirred for 2 hr. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate (50 mL), washed with water (20 mL) and saturated brine (20 mL), dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by basic silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate=80/20→0/100) to give the title compound (147 mg, 71%) as a pale-violet powder.
