Procedure

A solution of EXAMPLE 22B (770 mg, 3.4 mmol) in pyridine (5 mL) and N,N′-dimethylformamide (10 mL) was treated with 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole (763 mg, 3.4 mmol) at 40° C. for 30 minutes. 2,3-Diaminobenzamide dihydrochloride (826 mg, 5.1 mmol) was added and the mixture stirred at ambient temperature overnight. The mixture was concentrated and the residue refluxed overnight in 20 mL of xylene and 2 mL of acetic acid. After cooling and concentration, the residue was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel using ethyl acetate to give the title compound (550 mg, 50%). MS (DCI/NH3) m/z 342 (M+H)+.
