The title compound is prepared from dimethyl 5-((3-methyloxetan-3-yl)methoxy)isophthalate by reduction with lithium aluminum hydride in tetrahydrofuran. LC (method 7): tR=0.69 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=239 [M+H]+.
