1 M aqueous NaOH solution (167 μL) is added to a solution of methyl 2-((S)-6-((R)-4-(2,6-dimethyl-4-(pyrimidin-5-yl)phenyl)-7-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-yloxy)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-3-yl)acetate (35 mg) in methanol (3 mL). The mixture is stirred at 40° C. for 1 hour. After addition of 1 N hydrochloric acid (167 μL) the mixture is diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with brine. The organic phase is dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. The product thus obtained is dissolved in 1,4-dioxane and lyophilized to give the title compound. Yield: 29 mg; LC (method 11): tR=1.14 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=511 [M+H]+.
