Procedure
To a solution of Example 5 (250 mg, 1.42 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (4 mL) was added 1,3-diisopropylcarbodiimide (0.268 mL, 1.70 mmol), 1-hydroxybenzotriazole hydrate (58 mg, 0.4 mmol), and t-butyl glycinate (223 mg, 1.7 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, quenched with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic extracts were washed with brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel using hexane/ethyl acetate (50:1) as the mobile phase to provide the desired product. MS (APCI): m/z 290 (M+H)+.
