The product from step (iii) (2.2 g) in DCM (100 mL) was cooled to 0° C. and SOCl2 (0.486 ml) was added dropwise. The reaction was allowed to warm up to rt over 1 hr, and poured cautiously into sat. NaHCO3 and the aqueous phase was separated. The organic phase was dried, filtered and the solvent evaporated under reduced pressure to give the subtitle compound as a yellow solid, 2.260 g.
