Procedure
step 1—A solution of 308 (89 mg, 0.165 mmol), HBr 48% (0.090 mL, 0.784 mmol) in HOAc (4 mL) was heated at 50 overnight in a sealed tube. The reaction mixture was carefully poured into a mixture of saturated NaHCO3 and ice, extracted with EtOAc, and dried (Na2SO4). The crude product was purified on a preparative SiO2 TLC plate developed with 2:1 EtOAc/hexane to afford 51 mg of a white solid that was further purified by HPLC to afford 33 mg of I-201 as a white solid.
