Procedure
The distilled oil from Example 3 (1.1 g.) was heated under reflux with 48% hydrobromic acid (10 ml.) for 2 hours. The product was isolated by a procedure analogous to that described in Example 6 to give the title compound (1.07 g.), m.p. 210°-211° C. (Found: C, 58.35; H, 8.0; N, 4.2% C16H25NO HBr requires: C, 58.5; H, 8.0; N, 4.3%).
