Procedure

7-(5-Methyl-[1,2,4]triazin-3-yl)-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (200 mg, 0.9 mmol, 1 equiv) and N-iodosuccinamide (300 mg, 1.3 mmol, 1.4 equiv) in dimethylformamide (5 ml) was stirred at room temperature. After 3 hours diethyl ether was added and the resultant solid was isolated by vacuum filtration furnishing 120 mg of a yellow solid. MS: [M+H]+338
