{4-[2-(t-Butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxy)-ethyl]-piperidin-1-yl}-carbamic acid t-butyl ester (168 mg, 468 μmol) was at 0° C. combined with dichloromethane (2 mL) and trifluoroacetic acid (2 mL) to give a light yellow solution. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h at 0° C. and subsequently concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as yellow oil, which was used without further purification in the next step.
