Into a 50-mL round bottom flask, was placed a solution of 2-amino-5-(piperidin-1-yl)-N-(1-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)benzamide (100 mg, 0.23 mmol, 1.00 equiv) in dichloromethane (3 mL), 6-(chloromethyl)picolinic acid (50 mg, 0.29 mmol, 1.25 equiv), EDC.HCl (67 mg, 0.35 mmol, 1.50 equiv), and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (43 mg, 0.35 mmol, 1.51 equiv).
