12.5 g of 2-chloro-4-trifluoromethylphenol, 10.0 g of 2-amino-3-nitro-6-chloropyridine, 10.5 g of potassium carbonate, and 200 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide were charged in a flask, and the mixture was allowed to react at 30° C. for twenty-four hours while stirring. After completion of the reaction, the reaction product was poured into water, followed by extracting with methylene chloride. The extracted phase was washed with water and dried, and the methylene chloride was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain 14.7 g of a titled compound having a melting point of 80° to 84° C.
