To a solution of (S)-1-{1-[(2-cyano-4-phenylquinolin-7-yl)methyl]-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl}-1-(trifluoromethyl)propyl 4-nitrobenzoate (200 mg, 0.34 mmol) in THF (6 mL) was added lithium hydroxide IM (1.7 mL, 1.7 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h and quenched with saturated aqueous NH4Cl and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. Purification on silica gel (eluting with acetone/dichloromethane, 1:9) gave the title compound. MS (+ESI): 438 (M+H)+.
