A solution of 1-(1-{[2-chloro-4-(4-fluorophenyl)quinolin-7-yl]methyl}-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)-1-(trifluoromethyl)propyl 4-nitrobenzoate (300 mg, 0.49 mmol) and LiOH 2M/H2O (1.25 mL, 2.5 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was stirred at rt 5 h. The reaction was quenched with saturated aqueous NH4Cl and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduce pressure. Purification on silica gel (eluting with acetone/dichloromethane, 1:9) gave the title compound. MS (+ESI): 465 (M+H)+.
