To a solution of 814 mg of 4-[2,5-dioxo-4-[(2-propenyloxy)methyl]-4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)imidazolidin-1-yl]-2-trifluoromethylbenzonitrile in DMF (1.5 mL) is added potassium carbonate (279 mg) and methyliodide (420 μL). The mixture is stirred 5 hours at room temperature, evaporated, washed with brine, extracted with ethyl acetate, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated to give the desired compound.
