Procedure
Following the amide coupling procedure described in protocol A, 499 mg 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid (1.99 mmol), 370 mg CDI (2.28 mmol) and 324 mg 2-picolylamine (3.0 mmol), produced 579 mg of 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethyl-N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)chroman-2-carboxamide as a white solid.
