Procedure

(6-Fluoro-1-phenyl-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)methylamine hydrochloride (0.113 g, 0.4 mmol), 6-chloro-9-(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)-9H-purine (0.19 g, 0.8 mmol), triethylamine (0.28 mL, 2 mmol) in isopropanol (2 mL) was heated to 80° C. in a sealed tube for 6 h. The reaction mixture was partitioned between DCM and water and the organic layer was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated in vacuo. The resulting residue was purified by column chromatography (Si—PCC, gradient 0-3.5% MeOH in DCM) to afford the title compound as a colourless gum, (0.125 g, 70%). LCMS (Method B): RT 2.99 min [M+H]+ 444.19.
