257 mg (0.5 mmol) of (Z)-3-[1-(4-methoxyphenylamino)-1-(4-iodophenyl)-methylidene]-5-nitro-2-indolinone (Example 434), 0.06 ml (0.75 mmol) of methyl acrylate, 4.5 mg (0.02 mmol) of palladium-II-acetate and 1 ml of (7.2 mmol) of triethylamine are dissolved in 20 ml of acetonitrile under a nitrogen atmosphere. The solution is heated for 10 hours to 80° C. Then the reaction solution is filtered through Celite and the solvent is eliminated in vacuo. The residue is chromatographed on silica gel (dichloromethane/methanol=20:1).
