To a solution of 0.111 g (0.25 mmol) of the product of Step H and 0.055 g (0.51 mmol) of anisole dissolved in 0.25 mL of methylene chloride was added 0.4 mL of trifluoroacetic acid and the reaction mixture was stirred under a nitrogen atmosphere at room temperature for 14 hours. The reaction mixture was then evaporated in vacuo and purified on a silica gel flash chromatography column eluted with CHCl3 -MeOH-NH4OH (80:15:1). Evaporation of the purified fractions and drying in vacuo afforded 0.083 g (86%) of the title compound as a white amorphous solid.
