In the same apparatus and procedures as EXAMPLE 1, 9.3 g (0.04 mole) of bisdichlorosilylmethane, 13.7 g (0.12 mole) of allyltrimethylsilane, and 80 μl of 1% chloroplatinic acid solution in isopropanol were placed and reacted for 2 hours at reflux under the dry nitrogen atmosphere. Vacuum distillation gave 13.3 g (134°-136° C./0.05 mmHg) of [{3-(trimethylsilyl)propyl}dichlorosilyl]methane in 75.1% yield.
