Since the actual yield and the actual Act[O] were 38.0 g and 7.31%, respectively, the uncorrected yield was 77.2% and the yield corrected for Act[O] (i.e., the corrected yield) was 79.1%. The higher than expected Act[O] indicated that t-butyl hydroperoxide was somewhat more reactive towards fumaryl chloride than the n-butanol was.
