Procedure
1.81 g of the alcohol thus obtained was dissolved in 18 ml of tetrahydrofuran, and 2.11 g of triphenylphosphine, 1.27 ml of diethyl azodicarboxylate and 1.73 g of diphenylphosphoryl azide were added under cooling with ice under stirring, followed by stirring at room temperature for 30 minutes. The reaction solution was evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure, and then the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate=50/1) to obtain 1.59 g of (4S*,5S*,5E)-5-azide-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(2-naphthyl)-1-hexene.
