Procedure

A solution of 35-9 (0.055 g, 0.127 mmol) in EtOAc (1 mL) was cooled to -78° C., and saturated with HCl gas. The reaction was warmed to 0° C. for 1/2 hr, then concentrated and the residue chromatographed (20:1:1 EtOH/NH4OH/H2O) to give 35-10 as a white solid.

Workup
