Procedure
0.16 g (2.2 mmol) of acetone oxime was added to 0.065 g (2.4 mmol) of sodium hydride in 10 ml of dimethylformamide (DMF). The mixture was stirred at 20-25° C. for 1 hour, after which 1.0 g (2.2 mmol) of [6-chloro-2-methanesulfonyl-5-(2,4,6-trifluorophenyl)pyrimidin-4-yl]-((S)-1-trifluoromethylethyl)amine (abbr. sulfone 1) was added. After a further 14 hours of stirring at 20-25° C., the mixture was poured into water and extracted with dichloromethane. The combined organic phases were washed with water, then dried and finally freed from the solvent. This gave 0.6 g of the title compound of m.p. 157-159° C.
