To a solution of {3-[5-(3-fluorophenyl)-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-[1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-yl]-propyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (400 mg, 0.96 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added triethylamine (130 mg, 1.3 mmol), followed by isobutyryl chloride (130 mg, 1.3 mmol). After stirring for 1 hour, the reaction was quenched by the addition of methanol (0.1 mL). The reaction mixture was concentrated and purified by flash column chromatography (15:1 Hexanes/EtOAc) to provide the product (350 mg, 75%).
