Procedure

N-(Toluene-4-sulfonyl)-L-proline hydrate was coupled to L-tryptophan methyl ester hydrochloride using the procedure described in Method 3. The title compound was prepared via hydrolysis of the methyl ester using LiOH in THF/water.
