Procedure
31 parts of 5-(4'-amino-2'-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-benzisothiazole, 400 parts of toluene, 1 part of triethylamine and 11.4 parts of methyl isocyanate were stirred for 12 hours at 80° C., after which the solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified over silica gel, using chloroform as the mobile phase. 29.4 parts (80% of theory) of 5-(4'-methylaminocarbonylamino-2'-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-benzisothiazole of melting point 138° C. were obtained.
Workup
- customafter which the solvent was removed under reduced pressure
- customthe residue was purified over silica gel
