Combine (3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl)-3-(2-(4-(1-(4-fluorobenzyl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl-amino)piperidin-1-yl)ethyl)-3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)pyrrolidine (0.58 g, 0.76 mmol) and ethyl acetate (45 mL). Add dropwise, a solution of methanesulfonic acid (0.25 g, 2.7 mmol) in ethyl acetate (5 mL). After 18 hours, evaporate in vacuo to obtain a residue. Recrystallize the residue from isopropanol to give, after drying in vacuo at 82° C., the title compound: mp; 163-168° C.
