Procedure

In a dry sealed vial was added (3aR,5S,6S,7R,7aR)-2-(ethylamino)-6,7-dihydroxy-N-methoxy-N-methyl-5,6,7,7a-tetrahydro-3aH-pyrano[3,2-d][1,3]thiazole-5-carboxamide (70.00 mg; 0.23 mmol; 1.00 eq.) in toluene (1.00 ml) and tetrahydrofuran (1.00 ml). The clear solution was cooled to −78° C. before hydrido(diisobutyl)aluminum (962.81 μl; 1.00 M; 0.96 mmol; 4.20 eq.) was added slowly. The obtained solution was stirred at −78° C. for 3 h before the reaction was quenched by addition of 1 mL H2O at −78° C. The obtained mixture was stirred at this temperature for 5 min before it is warmed up to room temperature. The mixture was filtered and the obtained filtrated was dried with lyophilize to afford the title compound as white solid.
