Procedure
To a cold (0° C.) solution of EXAMPLE 82C (2.1 g) in methylene chloride (30 mL) was added triethylamine (1.42 g) followed by methanesulfonyl chloride (0.542 g). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1.5 hours and then was diluted with ethyl acetate (300 mL). The layers were separated, and the organic layer was washed with water (60 mL) and brine (60 mL), dried with Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to give the title compound, which was used in the next step without further purification.
