tert-Butyl cyclopropyl{3-formyl-5-[(1E)-3-methoxy-1-propen-1-yl]benzyl}carbamate (1 eq.) from the previous step and 10% w/w palladium over charcoal (0.1 eq.) were suspended in EtOAc (0.1 M). The vessel was then evacuated and purged with H2. Under a balloon-filled H2 atmosphere, the reaction suspension was stirred at RT for 3 h. The reaction suspension was then quenched with dichloromethane and filtered through a bed of celite. Concentration of the filtrate in vacuo to afford the title compound as a yellow oil.
