4-Methoxy-4-tert-butoxycarbonylaminomethylpiperidine (1.43 g), 4-phenylsulfonylbutyl bromide (1.7 g) and potassium carbonate (1.6 g) were reacted and treated in the same manner as in Preparation Example 138(1) to give 2.58 g of 4-methoxy-1-(4-phenylsulfonylbutyl)-4-tert-butoxycarbonylaminomethylpiperidine.
