280 mg of Methyl 3-(aminosulfonyl)-1-(2-pyridinyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate and phenyl(4,6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)carbamate were dissolved in 10 mL of acetonitrile. 1,8-Diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene, 0.15 mL, was added, and the reaction was stirred one hour. The solution was diluted with 30 mL of ice-water and made acidic with concentrated hydrochloric acid. The solid that separated was collected to afford 260 mg of the title compound melting 183°-188° C.
