To a mixture 4-chloro-5-methylpyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-6-yl pivalate (250 mg, 0.94 mmol), 2-fluoro-4-nitrophenol (176 mg, 1.12 mmol, Aldrich) and K2CO3 (154 mg, 1.12 mmol) was added DMF (5 mL). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 24 h. The reaction was quenched with water (5 mL) and CH2Cl2 (10 mL). The organic layer was separated, dried with sodium sulfate, concentrated in vacuo, and purified by silica gel flash chromatography (eluted with 1–25% EtOAc/CH2Cl2) to give the title compound (160 mg, 44%) as a white solid.
