Procedure
Methyl vinyl ketone (1.02 g) was added to a solution of N-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-2-aminoisobutyramide (2.4 g) in tetrahydrofuran (10 mL) and the mixture was heated at reflux for 30 hours. After distilling off the solvent under reduced pressure, 3 g of N-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-2-(3-oxobutylamino)isobutyramide was obtained.
