1-Benzyl-4-[N-ethyl-N-(3-propylamino-2-pyridinyl)amino]piperidine (EXAMPLE 191, 4.34 g, 12.3 mmol) and palladium hydroxide on carbon (2.0 g) in 50 ml ethanol is hydrogenated at 40 p.s.i. hydrogen for 40 hr. Filtration and removal of the solvent gives the title compound, NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) 7.72, 6.95, 6.83, 3.72, 3.42, 3.09, 2.87, 2.00, 1.66, 1.24, 1.00 and 0.87δ.
