Prepared according to the method described in Example 4(f) above from (R)-N2 -(diphenylacetyl)-(S)-N-(1-phenylethyl)ornithine amide hydrochloride (0.50 g; 1.0 mmol; from step (c) above), N,N'-bis(Cbz)-S-methyliso-thiourea (0.40 g; 1.1 mmol) of and DiPEA (0.3 mL; 1.6 mmol), yielding 0.59 g (74%) of sub-title compound as a solid.
