Procedure

(2R,3R)-3-(N-Boc-N-methylamino)-2-(-tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-pent-4-yne was synthesized according to Method Y above by the treatment of (2R,3R)-N-Boc-3-amino-2-(-tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-pent-4-yne (400 mg, 1.27 mmol) (Example 117B) with NaH (36 mg, 1.52 mmol) and Mel (360 mg, 2.54 mmol) in THF (30 mL). The product was obtained after silica gel column chromatography with a 0-10% Et2O in hexanes gradient. (Yield 370 mg, 89%).
