A mixture of 7.0 g. 3-isopropylsulphonyl-1,2,4-triazole, 7.0 ml. diallylcarbamoyl chloride, 25 ml. dry tetrahydrofuran and 8 ml. dry triethylamine was refluxed for 1 hour under anhydrous conditions. The reaction mixture was worked up as described in Example 1 to give 1-diallylcarbamoyl-3-isopropylsulphonyl-1,2,4-triazole as an oil which was heated under reduced pressure (100° C./0.5 mm.) for 1 hour to remove all traces of volatile material. Refractive index of product nD26 1.5158. Elemental analysis satisfactory.
