Procedure
NaH (60%, 266 mg, 6.7 mol) was added to a solution of crude methanesulfonic acid 2-{[5-amino-2-(1-methanesulfonyl-1H-indazol-6-ylcarbamoyl)-4-nitrophenyl]ethylamino}ethyl ester (2.6 mmol) in THF (10 mL) at room temperature. The solution was stirred at reflux for 3 h. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, and the residue was taken up in EtOAc and washed with water (10 mL). The organic layer was separated, dried over MgSO4, and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure to afford 8-amino-1-ethyl-4-(1-methanesulfonyl-1H-indazol-6-yl)-7-nitro-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-benzo[e][1,4]diazepin-5-one (1.1 g, 2.5 mmol).
