Procedure
A mixture of 7-fluorospiro[isobenzofuran-1(3H),4′-piperidine]-3-one hydrochloride (150 mg), phenyl N-(5-phenyl-2-pyrimidinyl)carbamate (170 mg) and triethylamine (0.24 mL) in chloroform (2 mL) was stirred at 60° C. for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate. The whole was washed with 10% citric acid aqueous solution, saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate and saturated saline solution and then dried over anhydrous Na2SO4. The concentration of the reaction mixture left a residue, which was recrystallized from ethyl acetate to give the subject compound (202 mg) as colorless crystals (melting point 244-246° C.).
