A solution of 377 mg (1.06 mmol) of 3-(1-benzyloxy-7-chloro-isoquinolin-6-yloxy)-cyclobutylamine (51) in 8 mL of 2-propanol was treated with 8 mL of 2N aqueous hydrochloric acid and stirred until complete conversion. The reaction mixture was evaporated, twice lyophilized from water and recrystallized from 2-propanol. 195 mg of the title compound could be isolated as hydrochloride as unseparable mixture of diastereoisomers. Rt=1.92 min (Method G). Detected mass: 265.1 (M+H+).
