Procedure
To a stirring solution of ethyl 7-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxylate (62) (103 mg, 0.4 mmol) in THF:MeOH:H2O (3:2:1, 1.6 mL) was added 6N LiOH (0.035 mL). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 20 minutes. The pH was adjusted between 4-5 with 3N HCl. The resulting mixture was concentrated to yield 7-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid (63). MS (m/z) 229.2 (M+1)+.
