5-(2-Methoxy-pyridin-3-ylmethyl)-thiazol-2-ylamine (221 mg, 1.00 mmol) and 1-benzo[1,3]dioxol-5-yl-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (206 g, 1.00 mmol) were dissolved in acetonitrile (5 mL) containing triethylamine (0.421 mL, 3.00 mmol). O-(7-Azabenzotriazol-1-yl)-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate (HATU, 760 mg, 2.0 mmol) was added and the solution was allowed to stir at 78° C. for 12 hours. An aliquot of the crude product was purified by reverse-phase preparative liquid chromatography. ESI-MS m/z calc. 409.1. found; 410.3 (M+1)+ Retention time 3.23 minutes.
