Procedure

A solution of 1-carbamimidoyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride (0.220 g, 1.00 mmol), 2,3-dichloro-quinoxaline (200 mg, 1.00 mmol), and Cs2CO3 (1.63 g, 5.00 mmol) in DMF (2 mL) was stirred for 4 h. H2O (3 mL) was added and the mixture was acidified to pH 2 with aqueous 1M HCl to form a white precipitate. The precipitate was filtered, triturated with anhydrous EtOH (2 mL), and filtered to yield the titled compound (0.130 g, 43%). MS (CI): mass calcd. for C15H12N6O2, 308.1; m/z found, 309.1 [M+H]+. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): 9.08 (s, 1H), 8.23 (s, 1H), 7.92 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.87 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.75 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 1H), 7.59 (t, J=7.5 Hz, 1H), 4.31 (q, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 1.32 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 3H).
