A mixture of D3 (87 mg, 0.53 mmol), D2 (102 mg, 0.53 mmol), 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (123 mg, 0.64 mmol), and 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (98 mg, 0.64 mmol) in DMF (2 ml) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The DMF was removed in vacuo then EtOAc and water were added. The product was extracted into EtOAc and the combined organic layers were washed with saturated aq. NaHCO3 solution (×2) and brine then dried (Na2SO4). The solvent was removed in vacuo and the resulting residue was purified by chromatography eluting with an EtOAc/petroleum ether gradient to afford the title compound (149 mg). MS (ES): MH+ 341.
