Procedure
264 Grams of 4-chloro-3-dimethylsulfamoylbenzoic acid (1.0 mole) and 345 g of anhydrous piperazine were heated at 130° C., while stirring, for 1 hour. Subsequently the reaction mixture was dissolved in 2 l of water and the pH value was adjusted to 7 with 5N HCl. After having stood over night, the crystalline precipitate was suction-filtered, washed with water and tetrahydrofurane and recrystallized from water.
