3-(Benzyloxycarbonylmethylamino)propionic acid tert-butyl ester (0,030 g, 0.1 mmol) and octadecanedioic acid tert-butyl ester 2,5-dioxo-pyrrolidin-1-yl ester (0,050 mg, 0.1 mmol) was suspended in dry DMF (1 ml). HOAt (0.014 g, 0.1 mmol) and DIPEA (0.21 ml, 1.2 mmol) was added. The yellow reaction mixture was stirred under nitrogen for 42 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated. The residue was redissolved in EtOAc and washed with 0.1 N HCl (2×), water (1×), dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated to give 17-[Benzyloxycarbonylmethyl-(2-tert-butoxycarbonyl-ethyl)-carbamoyl]-heptadecanoic acid tert-butyl ester in 85% yield (55 mg).
