The procedure was carried out as described previously in step (a) of Example 5 with Compound 10 (2.64 g, 7.6 mmol), POCl3 (1.5 mL, 15.3 mmol), and DMF (27 mL). Compound 11 was obtained (1.44 g, 51%) as a viscous brown liquid and used without any further purification. The structure of Compound 11 is given below:
